About Shutter Paint
Traditional paint systems used in the production of plantation shutters often rely on solvent-based paints that contain high levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). These VOCs are a wide range of chemicals found in many products used in the construction and upkeep of our homes. When these shutters are brought into our living spaces, the VOCs are slowly released, or “off gassed,” into the indoor air we breathe.
In response to recognised health and safety concerns, governments around the world are updating regulations to limit VOC use.
